My role is to create and design the visuals from the text brief, directing the art direction, user experience for the book, design visual elements, including Illustration, touch point visuals, and storyboard for key visuals.
BRIEF
This book is about five master lyricists and famous songs in Hong Kong.
The main technology uses RFID to interact with embedded conductive materials. On the outside, it looks like an ordinary old book, but as long as you click on the book or try to open a page, a magic moment will appear.
Role
Art Direction - Using memories as elements, and complementing the material of books, I design bespoke visuals for each song and its lyricists to narrate stories.
UX - The UX needs to accommodate technical constraints by strategically placing each button, ensuring the audience can easily discover various trigger points.
Graphic Design - Each trigger point encapsulates a story, with visuals tailored accordingly. For instance, vinyl records rotate upon activation, and lyrics emerge as visual effects.
STORY
Designed Storyboard for 1 key visual animation, 2 pages of content, and 3 touch points for each legendary lyricist.
